Hall's Surrey House Antiques was started in Santa Cruz in 1955 by the original owners Myron Hall and Arnold "Arnie" Remme. They each had an antique shop on Ocean Street across from each other, then combined shops and in 1965, moved to Water Street. in 1987, Arnie passed away and Dan Simpson (current owner) joined Myron as a business partner. in 2000, Myron passed away at the age of 86.

The shop has been continuously run in Santa Cruz County since 1955. in 2015 the business was relocated to the current location in Soquel, Ca..
